Since we have pretty good historical data for the last 400,000 years, and a distinct pattern emerges:
So here we are in an inter-glacial period, and getting lower than normal temps out of it. If the planet is warming at all, it looks like that's to be expected. Also the time between warm periods seems to be getting longer with the last cold snap lasting some 125,000 years. What I want to know is what's causing that 80-125K year cycle?
