The city council in San Fran has unanimously voted to declare the NRA to be a domestic terrorist organization.
If the NRA is a terrorist organization, then membership in it will
reduce your social score to the point that you are not allowed to
purchase a firearm. Thus the NRA becomes the most potent gun control
organization in the country and membership in it will raise your social
score to the point that you are permitted to buy a firearm. If you can
believe both of these propositions at the same time, you qualify for
high political office.
