TEOTWAWKI - Covid: We're All Gonna Die!

Found this just now. Seems the HIV virus, which is widely used as a genetic modification agent, works well with the Covid virus to produce large numbers of Covid variants. https://tinyurl.com/bs7vyrvc

Now all we need to do is wait for the pair to produce an easily transmissible variant with a 100% mortality rate. All you writers out there, write the book and sell it while there are still people alive to buy it!

Fun With Headlines - Canadian Insurrection!

From the conservative treehouse comes this beauty:

Amid Escalating Protests, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Has Fled the Capital City of Ottawa – Canadian Safety Minister Refuses to Confirm CBC Broadcast of Russians Surrounding the City

Even funnier because it's true, still, one must realize that the Chinese would never allow Russian troops in one of their many "breakaway provinces" now would they?

QOTD - Gun Control

 From Bidens 2020 campaign:

“Whether it is a 9 mm pistol or a rifle, it is ridiculous. I am continuing to push to eliminate the sale of those things.”

They empty the jails and refuse to prosecute the ones that get caught, then wonder why the public is arming itself.

Covid: Are You Sick?

The problem with the latest variant is that it's frequently difficult to tell if you're actually sick. According to this article in the Mirror, you need to be on the lookout for the following symptoms:

The common signs of Omicron according to the ZOE Covid study are :

  • Dry/scratchy throat

  • Runny nose

  • Sneezing

  • Mild muscle aches

  • Fatigue

Other reported signs of the variant have been claimed to include congestion, brain fog, skin rashes, conjunctivitis, nausea or vomiting, with some people also experiencing sleep paralysis and night sweats. Most recently, a Berlin hospital revealed that fainting spells could be a sign of the virus as well.

There are also certain symptoms which require urgent medical attention. The CDC asked people to keep an eye out for pale, grey or blue-coloured skin, lips or nail beds, which could indicate worryingly low levels of oxygen in the blood.

In case any of you haven't noticed, it's currently the beginning of winter, which around here is characterized by cold weather, snow shoveling, and very low humidity. Between the temperature, the shoveling, and the humidity, it's easy to develop most, if not all of the above symptoms. The obvious cure, is to hie thee to a warmer, more humid location. Fiji comes to mind. Just as nice as Vera Cruz, but not controlled by drug cartels.

If you have symptoms described in that last paragraph, you're probably already dead, so don't take them too seriously.

I still hold out hope that a cartel of billionaires will band together and buy a Caribbian island nation, and run it like old Hong Kong as a bastion of capitalism. I'd move there in a heartbeat.

The End Of Covid Is In Sight

But probably not quite the way you were hoping. HHS will be asking hospitals to cut back on the number of deaths they report as being Covid deaths in advance of the mid terms. It is also expected that mask mandates and lockdowns will be reduced or eliminated. This is expected to last until mid-November.

The New Biden, Coming Soon To A TV Near You

Expect the DNC to soon demonstrate recent innovations in AI purchased from the Chinese. They now have a couple of newscasters done with advanced animation and AI broadcasting the news daily and undetectable by watchers.

The original news people were popular and widely watched, and when the original AI models were introduced, they were not hard to spot. Currently the AI has learned to refine its modeling to the point that the models are virtually indistinguishable from the real people.

Expect this to be imported into U.S. politics soon. The giveaways will be the politician getting through a speech without self-correcting an error, either factual or grammatical. Speeches will be written by a committee, carefully checked for errors, and then piped out to us peons in a manner reminiscent of Max Headroom. Our new crop of pols can be expected to appear only on TV, or in meetings via Zoom or something similar. Slo Joe will be locked away in his Delaware basement, and his "steering committee" will have his AI driven image taking care of business.

Actually, the uses for this are much more extensive than just keeping a demented meatloaf in the oval office. Imagine if a nationwide TV broadcast/youTube production went out in Iran in which the Supreme Leader threw his turban on the floor and denounced Islam as a fraud. Or if Xi JinPing were to suddenly announce the end of communism, or Kim Jong Un announced he was retiring to some South Pacific Islands with enough money to never bother with North Korea again. The mind boggles.

Meantime, watch for Slo Joe to suddenly begin making sense, or at least stop with the gaffes. A sure sign he's been replaced

QOTD - Bidens Speech

Slo Joe gave a rousing stump speech in favor of federalizing all US election processes that both sides of the debate recognize would result in one-party rule in the U.S. for the foreseeable future. Dem side here, Rep side here. Note that they both agree.

Here's a clip:

Biden said at one point in his speech: "At consequential moments in history, they present a choice. Do you want to be the side of Dr. King or George Wallace? Do you want to be on the side of John Lewis or Bull Connor? Do you want to be on the side of Abraham Lincoln or Jefferson Davis?"

NOTE: Dr King and president Lincoln were both Republicans, while the rest, most notably Wallace, Connor, and Davis, were Democrats. So was John Lewis, but having carried significant civil rights law reform, he gets a pass.

How Dangerous Is The Wu-Han Flu?

Maybe not as dangerous as we've been led to believe. First off, consider that the usual death toll from fly has dropped to literally zero for the last 2 years. Now look at this article from no less an authority than the CDC:

Asked on ABC’s “Good Morning America” about a study showing that vaccines targeting COVID-19 and its variants have successfully prevented serious illness, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, the head of the Centers for Disease Control, admitted, “The overwhelming number of deaths, over 75%, occurred in people who had at least four comorbidities. So, really, these are people who were unwell to begin with.”

Emphasis mine. Over reporting, maybe?

How many comorbidities do you need before the vaccinations themselves become a greater threat than the disease? Makes you go Hmmmm.

Is The Left Desperate? Yes!

Here's the latest move to insure that the left doesn't lose its trifecta of political control: charge Republicans under section 3 of the 14th amendment which disfranchised southern politicians after the civil war.

Hard to believe, but there it is. Frankly I don't think they'll get very far with this, but if you find a friendly judge to uphold this moonbattery, it could take years for it to get to the supreme court and get tossed, and in the meantime, the Dem candidate gets to claim that his Republican opponent has been plausibly charged with insurrection.

NICS Checks - End-Of-Year

And whaddayaknow! Looks like gun sales are back to normal after 2 years of panic buying and supply chain disruptions.

Looks like there are 2 years in which December sales outstripped this years December, 2020 and 2015. I saw in a blog post which, of course I now cannot find, that Vista Outdoors is saying that all primers produced by their companies (Remington, Federal, CCI, Speer, will be unable to ship bulk primers until April 2022 at the earliest. All production is currently devoted to producing loaded ammo. Loaded ammo is currently in contention with Bitcoin based on what I saw last weekend. 9mm range ammo is running $.40/round, and is sold out. Available ammo is limited to the boutique DRT home defense stuff at $1/round.

CORRECTION: Vista only controls 3 of the above listed primer manufacturers. Also I finally found the letter at Only Guns and Money blog:

From the story at The Firearm Blog:

You will receive your finalized price list no later than March 15th, 2022

30th Anniversary Of The End Of WWIII

Apologies people, I even forgot it myself, but yesterday was the 30th anniversary of the end of WWIII. This was also known as the "Cold War", which sometimes it was, punctuated by periods of decidedly hot war, this one was my war from one of the hot periods in Viet Nam, to the final collapse of the Soviet Union, Dec 25th, 1991. At the collapse, I was employed by  one of the large Aerospace companies, and was working on some aspects of Ronald Reagans Star Wars incentive.

Reagan and the American people were opposed by Mikhail Gorbachev, Ted Kennedy, Tip O'Neil, and a democrat controlled legislature. The Dems didn't want to be seen as weak on defense, but they also held the Soviet system in high regard. They still do. They would allow monies for studies of only the parts that seemed to have the smallest chance of success. Having had a front-row seat in the engineering biz, my observation was that it took us only about 6 months to go from "that'll never fly" to having a working prototype ready to test. The Russians noticed this as well and made a policy of immediately throwing roubles at whatever they thought might counter the American inventions. This quickly bankrupted the Soviet Union.

We are now fully involved in WW4.

Understanding Reality

Elon Musk seems to have tweeted this, which came out highly compressed and pretty much unreadable. Several others came up with larger, more readable versions, and I rearranged it into 5 pages which you can print in landscape format if you like, and read easily in any case. Click to enlarge the pictures and reduce your biases.

End Of Pandemic!

Not only has our governor announced the end of the pandemic, but one (so far) head of state has joined the movement.

New Zealand PM Arden has issued a return to normal statement:

eTurboNews reported, in an article headlined, "Sex orgies of up to 25 people are OK now in New Zealand," that it was an "unexpected early Christmas present" when Ardern made the announcement.

the drawback is that getting into NZ in the first place may be difficult so allow plenty of time for a quarantine stay in a hotel which may itself permit up to 25 of its guests to pass the time in whatever manner they see fit. Call in advance.

Fun With Headlines - Statues

From this mornings New York Times newsletter:

A statue of Robert E. Lee that once stood in Charlottesville, Va. — and was the focus of a 2017 white nationalist rally — will be melted down for a new artwork.

I can just imagine the new artwork in the form of a whip-wielding black slave owner, driving a team of 6 white libs in man-buns and purple hair, laboring mightily to drag a large box (bale?) of ballots to a counting center. Can't see the NYT finding anything wrong with this. In fact, I challenge the NYT to front the modest sum of money required to build this on a cost plus fixed fee basis. That is all costs to the actual artisans, plus a fixed fee, say $100K, to me as the brains behind this work of art.

Crime Waves

Down in Pueblo, the cops are complaining that just catching crooks isn't helping since if the theft amounts to under $2000, all they can do is write a ticket. At some point, the public will decide that if the local government won't let the police do their jobs, then the civic duty would be to step up and help out.

Yeah, I know, the vulgar term for this is vigilantism. So what. It's also law enforcement for when the state cannot or will not enforce the law. So when someone breaks in to your house or business, you simply plug them and with a little help from your grateful neighbors, bag 'em in a large construction bad, and deposit the trash a reasonable distance from the scene of the crime.

If there's 2 or more of them, see if you can catch them in the driveway, plug all of them, and tell the cops they were arguing over dividing the spoils, and a fight broke out. Stick with this story, the cops will back you up unless they're in on the heist, and everyone will be the better for it. The mayor may lose 2 or 3 votes in the next election, but tough luck for him.
