Google Anti-Gun?

There's a meme going about that suggests that Google may be going the way of Pay-Pal and E-bay in suppressing searches related to guns or gun parts.

I just searched Ruger pistol parts on Google, and game up with 2.8M hits.

I guess not everybody has gotten the memo yet.

The issue is not Google search results, but their Shopping forum.

Don't know what they used to be like, but the same search on Google Shopping turned up only 2 pages, mostly uninteresting.

I help maintain a web site, PowderInc.com, that sells black powder, safety fuse, and musket caps. Google still drives a lot of traffic to the site.

They'll be ixnaying gun results in Google Adwords/Shopping.

Like eBay/Paypal, it's not because they're antigun, it's because they're anti legal exposure.

(eBay, for instance, made its biggest rule change regarding guns after they got the pants sued off of them in the wake of the VT massacree, since Cho had bought his magazines off eBay.)
