Fallout From Rittenhouse

Not really unexpected, but as an example of the far left complaining about the verdict in the Rittenhouse trial. here's one by Cas Muddle (pen name) in which the poor traumatized fellow opines that the verdict gives right-wing vigilantes the right to hunt down and shoot innocent progressives.

He displays an impressive ignorance of the constitution, which rather tarnishes his creds as a journalist, by failing to note that under the Equal privileges' and immunities clause, if the conservatives are somehow granted the right to ruthlessly hunt down mostly peaceful protesters, then the same privilege would also apply to the left, giving them the right to drive by a Republican gathering, hose them down with bullets, then claim "self defense", should they get arrested.

This is the same M.O. used by Muslims who might stab an unbeliever to death, then, when they are convicted of murder, whine most piteously about oppression of practitioners of the one true faith.

I think that the relevant term is "projection". They picture the evil Conservatives of doing what they plan to do. The Democrats said nothing about their kind looting and burning Kenosha, but OMG someone fought back and defended themselves. The Horro! Nobody is allowed to defend themselves from the "righteous" actions of the Progressive Storm Troopers. They fatasize that the world will look like Democratic ghettos if everyone has guns and is allowed self-defense. They don't seem to notice that violence is an everyday thing only in the Democratic strongholds.

What this verdict has actually done, is to validate our inherent right to defend ourselves, our neighbors and our properties from the anarchists unleashed by the oppressive powers that be. The reason this scares them so much is because they depend on these intimidation tactics to maintain their power and control. Without that, they will lose everything they have lied, stolen and cheated so long and hard to establish.
