QOTD - Guns

Actually Scott Adam's whole rather brief article should probably qualify. Here's a snippet:
On average, Democrats (that’s my team*) use guns for shooting the innocent. We call that crime.
On average, Republicans use guns for sporting purposes and self-defense. [insert ellipsis here]
So it seems to me that gun control can’t be solved because Democrats are using guns to kill each other – and want it to stop – whereas Republicans are using guns to defend against Democrats.
RTWT, it's short and to the point. Also keep in mind that Mr. Adams is a skilled persuader and is thus probably trying to sell you something.

Let's ban all Democrats from having or buying guns and ammo, and provide every gun shop with a stack of voter registration forms so they can change their registration while they shop. The shift in voter registration might be noticeable.

If Democrats were sincere about wanting to "get guns off the street" and "out of the hands of criminals", they would be demanding more "stop and frisk".

Unlike background checks for gun transfers, "stop and frisk" is a demonstrably effective crime-reduction tactic. Any principled civil libertarian opposes "stop and frisk" on 4th Amendment grounds and the assault on the dignity of the law-abiding. But the Democrats are already on the record as believing that "gun violence" is a problem so serious that law-abiding citizens must be prepared to give up their civil liberties that are explicitly enumerated in the Bill of Rights.

If, of course, Democrats were sincere about wanting to "get guns off the street" and "out of the hands of criminals"...

TRUMP: I want a secret database of Muslims.

DEMOCRATS: Ok, but only if they're denied Constitutional rights.
