Christine O'Donnell says she dabbled in Witchcraft when she was in high school. To me, this qualifies her as knowing at least a bit about the topic.
Contrast this with the average Democratic member of Congress who has, arguably NEVER ever dabbled in economics.

I did notice that one liberal, Honjii's Harangue, isn't quite as tolerant about learning other belief systems.

"how can you be sure she isn’t still under the influence of Satan". Honjii is quite incensed that O'Donnell is Satan's handmaiden (yes, I know I borrowed the phrase from David Weber's Honor Harrington novels).
I wonder if Honjii is one that protests Nativity Scenes and the Ten Commandments in public places. I don't get the ignorance, though, that the "old" religion has anything to do with Satan - who is invented only within Christian teachings.
