Back To The Pasture Again

The project I was hired to work on has ended successfully and as any engineer will tell you, the better and faster an engineer completes his work, the sooner he's out of it. So as of today I'm officially retired again.

Second time so far.

D'wife is horrified. "You mean you're going to be here at home, all day, all the time?" she wails doing a theatrical garment rending performance worthy of a Broadway play.

Which makes me wonder why she doesn't start hanging out with actors more. It would at least get her out of the house and out from under foot. Compounding the problem is that temperatures here have dropped to ranges suitable to an ice age putting a bit of a damper on plans I had for more frequent trips to the rang and longer bicycle rides. Maybe all the hot air rising from Paris this week will alleviate the problem a bit but I'm not holding out much hope.

We found that having multiple domiciles was a better investment than The Market plus distance makes the heart grow fonder...or out-of-sight out-of-mind, whichever works.
