Gun Registration

Some time back, in the 50's or 60's there was another flurry of debate on guns which MAD magazine covered in their inimitable way.

In the cartoon piece the grabber addressed the gunnie and told him that all they wanted to do was register his guns.

The gunnie objected.  "You're not going to register my guns!"

The grabber went on, "..just like we register your dogs",  to which the gunnie replied "You're not going to register my dogs guns either".

But you know, sometimes dogs go bad.
