The Nevada Highway Patrol introduced dogs to sniff out randomply stopped vehicles, and help the patrolmen ferrit out drugs.

Turns out the dogs had been trained to alert on cue, giving the cops probable cause to search and seize anything and everything in, on, or near the car. Lucrative operation until some of the officers ratted the scam out.
