Duct Tape

Like the Force, it has a dark side, a light side, and holds the universe together. Now available in Nuclear grade.

It gives one pause, even me, to think of the conditions under which "Nuclear Grade" duct tape might be called for.

Nuclear Grade

Well, I dunno what this stuff is; I might be curious enough to try a roll. But, speaking of "nuclear grade", when I was working on the Yucca Mtn. Project, I became acquainted with "yellow tape", which was like nuclear duct tape. This stuff is much more durable than typical duct tape. AFAIK, it comes in only yellow. And it's even tougher than gaffer tape. It got used for everything under the sun out there at the Nevada Test Site -- I assume it still does. I'd like to find out what it is, just so's I can order a few rolls, as it's pretty impressive stuff.

Pet peeve alert!

The stuff was originally Duck Tape, so called because it shed water like a duck's back. Duct Tape is an incorrection. (And the stuff is really poor for taping ducts.)

Quack!

BTW, after some research, I have failed to find "yellow tape", but I'm pretty sure it's close to Polyken 231.
