Why are they even there? Couldn't they have fueled them up and flown them out of harms way? It's not like there was no warning.

Additionally: Airplanes would _float_ if all the doors were closed.
Yes, the picture is fake. It was put together to show how deep the water might get but no one thought the airlines would abandon $300M planes in the face of a major flood.
