In the interest of making something in the new year demonstrably happy, I'm hereby proposing the first Rocky Mountain Blogger Fest to be held at The Old Mill Brewery, 5796 Rapp St. in Littleton, either the 30th of January, or the 6th of Feb.
If you include Steve Green in the numbers, it's centrally located, and isn't that hard to get to in any case. It's 2 blocks off Sante Fe if you're driving, and 3 blocks from the Littleton light rail station if you're a public transit fan. They also have lots of free parking.
I've been there. The food is good, the beer is good, and they have an area toward the back where birthday parties, Blogger Fests and the like are held. They have areas scattered about that can accommodate groups from 12 to 30, and if we get the back area, they'll even turn the TV off. Or on if there's something momentous going on.
So how say you all?

Either day works for me.
Hopefully I'm invited too. Either day works.
The more, the merrier."truck on down" as they say.
I shall be there.
At least, I shall endeavor to be there unless I'm actually in LA, but hopefully that's not the case.
So, I shall probably be there.
The 30th is better for me, but don't let that stop you from taking the 6th if it works better. I may still be able to stop by later on.
Should be doable. Either day works for me.
Either date works for me, although I'll be Zombyboy forgets his promise to me of free beer by the 6th ...
I favor the 30th myself, although if someone absolutely can't make it then, I'm flexible. Anyway, the 30th is officially the favored date.
Well, I'll actually be in south Denver for a wedding on the 6th of February, and if it's lame or if the Fest is awesome, I could crash it late. So there. I vote the 6th. And since I'm guaranteed to be the only chick on the RSVP list, my vote counts, like, 50 times.
Blogger, grrrr. That Shannon is Mr Lady.
And Billlllll, no crashing your bike and breaking your brain just to avoid seeing me this time.
The weather is nice enough to actually be riding the (motor)bike, and I've got a glacier in front of the house, making it near impossible to get out.
As to the (pedal) bike, the guys at work chipped in and helped me buy a helmet. Next time it will be harder to bash my remaining brains out.
Your post showed up as I was putting up the latest notice, selecting the date. How come the ladies are always late? Why do I not know that by now?
If we move it to the 6th, I better get some frottage.
She has a point. If we only get one female, she gets to call (most of) the shots. Wheels favors the 30th, but could also make the 6th, if a bit late.
Any objections, squawks, whatever?
Done! Feb 6th now official.
I googled Frottage, Jed. How come Jed always makes me need to douche my brain? Why don't I know that by now?
I'll pray for a sucky wedding, and a late cameo. Good news? COCKTAIL DRESS AND RED HEELS.
(That just guaranteed Stephen and Wheel's attendance.)
You know, I was wondering when one of these was going to pop up.
Part of me wants to be a good boy and avoid anything that resembles alcohol thanks to what happened around Thanksgiving. Part of me recognizes that it is extremely rare that I actually drink anything resembling alcohol in the first place, thinking that a couple won't hurt me THAT much. And another part of me is hanging from the rafters and making lewd gestures at random passers-by.
Don't ask about that third part. We don't talk about him much.
So yeah. At least one of us will be there.
